A really important factor that one has to seriously consider when picking up partner: how reliable your partner is. Yes this girl might be really pretty, or this boy might be wealthy, and you love him/her like crazy, but the real question, in my opinion, is how reliable is she/he.

When you need to make important decision about significant thing on your life (career change, parenting, handling crisis) is she/he a reliable partner to discuss the matter? Can you listen to his/her point of view, decides that his/her is actually better way to move forward, and go with it?

Parenting is super hard; will you guys be a team to overcome all those challenges? When baby blues hits, the kid gets sick in the middle of a night, choosing schools, handling kid’s roller coaster emotion, and so much more.

I’ve been very lucky to have a wife that are very reliable. I might be good in work stuff, but when it comes to handling anything else, i can depend on her judgement. I might have my own opinion, i might able to think couple of steps forward, but her judgement coves lots of areas that I rarely think of.

I have 5 years old and 9 months kids now. I already imagine stuffs that they will encounter one day, which one of them are choosing life partner. When that happens, i hope they can make a wise and sound judgement. Love is important, but how reliable your parter is are equally and even more important. I hope they can find their reliable partner. More importantly, I hope they grow into reliable human being themselves.
