I just found a lovely band last night through my younger sister’s SoundCloud account. Banda Neira is a two persons band (they refuse to be called duo, tho) consisting of Rara Sekar (human rights activist / vocal) and Ananda Badudu (journalist / vocal + guitar). Their music is very lovely. To me their music sounds like a combination of simple acoustic music ala Adhitia Sofyan + chanting tunes and gorgeous Indonesian lyrics ala Efek Rumah Kaca. A must hear.
